Steven Corda leads the Business Development efforts for SES within North America. In this role, Steve is responsible for leadership of SES’ efforts to expand its satellite and service portfolio in North America, including the design of new spacecraft and services as well as the development of strategic partnerships and investments. In addition, he develops the company’s long range strategic planning activities in close cooperation with other SES entities and provides entrepreneurial and innovation leadership throughout SES. Mr. Corda joined SES in 2004 and has been instrumental in the development of key service initiatives in the areas of mobile broadband, media and enterprise services.
Prior to joining SES, Mr. Corda spent twelve years at the satellite manufacturer Hughes Aircraft / Hughes Space and Communications in engineering, management and business development roles. Earlier, Steve was General Manager of Binariang Satellite Services, Bhd., which owns and operates the Measat satellite system in Malaysia where he lived for a number of years. He also has held key development roles at the regional Bell operating company, US WEST (now Qwest). Mr. Corda holds a BSEE degree from Michigan Technological University, an MSEE degree from the University of Southern California, and an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA.
